Jeane Lee Yi Jin's reported practice is concentrated in company and commercial litigation in the High Court, with a strong line of work on fraud, corporate governance and civil procedure. Across the matters she acts for plaintiffs and defendants.

A recurring theme is the impeachment of judgments and consent orders for fraud. In related suits involving Puncak Kenangan (M) Sdn Bhd and AT Masters Sdn Bhd, she acted for plaintiffs seeking to set aside a consent order alleged to have been procured by the conscious and deliberate concealment of material facts. The issues included whether the test for fraud requires proof of conscious and deliberate dishonesty rather than mere unconscionability or constructive fraud, and whether the concealed facts were material in the sense that their disclosure would have fundamentally altered how the court approached and decided the matter.

Her company work also includes derivative actions. Acting for a defendant, she resisted an application for leave to commence a derivative action ("Permohonan kebenaran untuk memulakan tindakan terbitan di bawah seksyen 348 Akta Syarikat 2016" — an application for leave to bring a derivative action under section 348 of the Companies Act 2016), which the court dismissed ("Permohonan ditolak").

She is closely engaged with pleadings and interlocutory strategy. Acting for a defendant in a matter involving Ovanti Ventures Sdn Bhd, she contested a reply pleading said to introduce new allegations and causes of action, on whether a reply may depart from the statement of claim and must be confined to answering the defence. In a related estate-linked suit she appeared on a security-for-costs application under Order 23 of the Rules of Court 2012, where a nominal plaintiff suing for the benefit of another and a non-party's contribution to costs in return for a share of recovery were in issue.
