Negligence – medical negligence - It is not uncommon to see medical negligence cases involving private hospitals in Court and in the law reports and this Court will not take judicial notice that private hospitals are necessarily better given the huge volume of patients the Government hospitals serve. Without any empirical evidence that private medical institutions are necessarily better, to tar Government hospitals which serve hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people as a whole is unacceptable.
