At the end of the defence case I found both the accused guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment and whipping of twelve (12) strokes for the charge. The sentence to commence from the date of their arrest 26 January 2022. Both the accused now appeal to the Court of Appeal against the conviction and sentence meted out by this court. Whipping was not imposed on the second accused as he was above the age of 50 years as provided under section 289 of the CPC.
